Rose & Dean’s Wedding (Catskills, NY)

Rose and Dean celebrated the start of the rest of their lives at The Inn at West Settlement: a property in upstate New York that boasts lush meadows, cozy lodgings, and picturesque mountaintops in its horizon. Their reception took place on the upper floor of the gable-roof barn, whose dormer — located at the end of a beautiful footbridge — acts as the main entrance to the building. Along with the property’s “elegantly rustic” main decoration and furnishing, our lovely pair also added details that made the occasion undoubtedly their own, such as polaroid cameras and green and white place settings.

When entrusted with capturing this special evening in a tangible miniature model, The Pocket Spot strove to find the balance between the unique layout of the venue and the personal touches that Rose and Dean had chosen for their wedding. The result is a 12 by 12in to-scale model that encapsulated the entirety of the barn, with half of the gable roof exposed to showcase details that made the celebration one-of-a-kind. Each individual piece — each table, chair, vase, shingle, and pendant light — was created from scratch using a combination of digital fabrication and manual crafting.

Below are collected photographs of the venue itself (left) next to close-ups of The Pocket Spot’s final product (right).
